Carlisle Institute Announces Inaugural CEO Breakfast Series Event

FREDERICTON, NB - Carlisle Institute announced today that it will host its first CEO Breakfast in Fredericton, New Brunswick on December 15, 2010. The CEO Breakfast will provide members of the business, government, not-for-profit and academic communities with exposure to international speakers who will focus on innovation and investment capital.

The Carlisle Institute is pleased that New Brunswick Premier David Alward will open the event and will speak about the need for New Brunswick business to embrace innovation to be competitive in an increasingly global economy.

Mr. Pierre Lortie, Q.C., O.C., former president of Bombardier and former CEO of the Montreal Stock Exchange will provide remarks about the critical importance of Canada’s securities regulators to our competitiveness. Currently Senior Business Advisor with Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Mr. Lortie will also discuss Quebec’s experience in context to the proposed federal government single securities regulator.

Mr. John Reid, president and CEO of the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) will speak about the urgent need for business organizations to engage national and global knowledge networks to leverage the necessary knowledge to compete in competitive markets and how Innovation Canada is a key initiative to provide assistance to small and medium size businesses.
